Hikki sat in the shade of a large tree near the army's building. The moon was shining bright in the lovely night sky that was also illuminated by the many stars. She looked at all the soldiers who were still training and sighed.

So boring... Hikki thought and got up. She walked away from the the training soldiers and into the building. She went straight back out at the other side.

After a while she was in the city and just walked around, wondering what she would do.

Tical never liked city's, to much people, normal people that is.

But sometimes even he had to go to the city, to sharpen his sword, buying new clothes and if the need was there, finding some food.

With his cape and hood he just looked like monk, als like them he hung his head down, he didn't wanted peopl to look at his face, they might reconize him and that wouldn't be to pleasureble...

A few men came out a nearby bar and started picking a fight with random people. Hikki looked at them and walked on.

"Somebody! Please help me!" a woman suddenly cried as the men started harassing her and punching, what Hikki presumed to be, her husband.

"Somebody do something," onlookers started whispering.

"Look, a monk!" somebody said relieved as he pointed at someone who appeared to be a monk. "He can help, can't he?"

"Monks," Hikki said with her emotionless voice, "they don't fight do they? Then why would he be able to help?"

"C-commander..." an onlooker stuttered.

"So I guess this monk does fight," a onlooker said.

The men stopped punching the man and walked over to the "monk".

"What do you want, eh?" one of the men said. "There's three of us and only one of you."

"Don't underestimate me," the man said as a black aura surrounded him. Black wings sprouted from his back and his pupils turned to slits. "I'm not losing to some wanna-be monk!" he screeched as the other men suddenly glowed too and they got wings too.

"We are demons," another of them said, "so get lost!"

People now started yelling and screaming but they were unable to move.

'I gues fate chose this fore me' Tical thought.

'Well, wana play rough, sure...'

Tical's eyes began to glow, also he got some wings growing, his muscles grow too.

'SO YOU WANA PLAY ROUGH!' 'You will get rough!'

Hikki sighed as the people started screaming even louder.

Don't they have brains? Hikki thought about both the spectators and those who were fighting.

The woman who had asked for help suddenly stood in front of Hikki. "Please... Commander Sousui..." she sobbed. "Please help my husband...." Tears were rolling down her cheeks.

Hikki looked at the man who was heavilly bleeding on the pavement. He wouldn't last long without treatment. Hikki walked over to the man and checked his pulse. It was still there.

"せかいのちから… あたしのこときてください…ヒル!!" Hikki spoke the spell quickly and the man started glowing slightly. His wounds healed, but he should still go to a hospital -- healing spells weren't Hikki's specialty.

"Thank you so much," the woman now cried tears of happiness.

"Make sure he goes to a hospital," Hikki told the woman with her always emotionless voice and she looked at the fight.

The guy was hesitating. He was outnumbered and hesitating. Not a smart thing to do when three demons are attacking you.

"Just DIE already!!!" the leading man said and he sped towards the suposed monk. When he was about to hit him a boot hit him in the face and he was sent into a different direction.

Hikki put her foot back on the ground and she now faced the "monk". "What do you think you're doing?" she asked. "These guys aren't joking. Why start a fight if you won't finish it?"

"Don't get distracted again," Hikki told him. "Human lives are in danger so you can not hesitate."

Hikki stood back as he chopped one of the heads of, which of course made some people want to vommit.

"That's awsome!!!" one of the onlookers yelled and Hikki sighed.

Idiots... she thought to herself.

Tical walked to the next oponent, the demon desided to take the sky.

'hehe, so that's how it is!'

Tical spread his wings and jumped into the air.

His oponent drew a sword and both started fighting in the air.

The leader got up (he was down because of Hikki's kick) and turned to the girl that had kicked him. She was following the battle in the sky, this would be his chance to show her not to mess with him.

He was hardly visible as he shot towards her, head first. He hadn't counted on what happened next. A shock shot through his body as his head collided with her hand. She didn't move an inch, her gaze was still at the fighting figures in the sky. The man could not move, the collision had rendered him paralyzed.

Hikki let the man's head go and he slumped to the ground.

Tical looked down, 'what was that?!'

Tical didn't had the time to think more caus his atacker tried to cut off one of his wings.

*Cling* two swords hit eachother.

'I know what you are... Bloodsucker!' 'I have killed many of you...'

'I... I...' The demon looked down to his chest, the steel blade of Tical had gone right trough his hearth, if he would have one.

The Demon fell down to the ground.

Raschu flew back to the ground and landed in front of the man that Hikki tried to heal.

'Is he ok?'

"Y-yes," his wife said, still sobbing. "Commander Sousui h-healed him... I didn't think s-she would..." She was talking more to herself than Tical now.

The man opened his eyes and sat up. "What happened?" he asked his wife and his wife started explaining.

Hikki just looked at Tical, wondering whether he wanted to harm people, or whether he was actually a nice guy.

Hikki turned away from him. "I will do no such thing," she said, her voice still very emotionless. "It is not in my best interest yet. My priority..." she turned around and kneeled down next to the paralyzed demon, "...is getting this thing back to the army."

She grabbed the collar of the man's coat with one hand (her left in case you're wondering) and started dragging him away with much ease. She turned around once more to face the guy.

"You should drop by there some time," she told him. "They could use someone like you. Or if there's anything you want to know or whatever. If you decide to come, just tell 'em commander Sousui sent you."

She turned around and walked away, still dragging the paralyzed demon.

Tical was stunned, not by a spell or anything, but by the fact that he was still alive. "Didn't this world want to kill monsters and other weird stuff?"

The crowd walked away since it seemed that the party was over.

"So much for going to the city...' *sigh*

Tical spread his wings and jumped into the air.

He flew too the place he considered as 'home'...

it was an old wooden cotage not far away from the city at the end of a big forrest.

He opened the door and a bat flew to him making squeking noices.

'Hey hey, Mia, you've been here the whole time?'

Tical walked furter into the room and took a seat on a chair. Slowly he fell to sleep.

"Commander Sousui," another commander said with a smirk. "I can't believe you actually acted this time. We were about to send someone over when we got a confirmation that you were on it."

Hikki just stayed silent and dropped the, still paralyzed, demon on the floor. "Just take care of the rest," Hikki told him and walked out of the room.

The night past away and a new day began.

Tical woke up, walked to his basement to get some breakfast, wait he didn't got to that yet... Yesterday in the city he forgot to find some 'food'.

'Just great... No breakfast!'

What actualy happend there, in the city, that girl just stunned a demon without any trouble.

And she told him to see the army, 'they could use someone like him.' How could there actualy be use for a vampire?

Or would this get him closer to his goal, getting back what was taken from him?

"And that over there," an instructor said as he motioned for his listeners to gather round, "is the great Commander Hikki Hinoi Sousui." The listeners were new recruits for the army.

Hikki was just reading a book in a chair and couldn't help but feel highly annoyed by the instructor's remark. Like she was an atraction or something. She ignored this however and continued her reading, while hoping they would just move on and leave her alone.

As she had hoped, the instructor and his listeners left shortly after their one-sided introduction with Hikki and she sighed in relief. She looked at the information desk across the room, near the entrance, to see whether there were more recruits. Seeing none, she continued her reading once more.

Tical heard ticking noices on the window.

'Mia...'

Tical opened the window to let his bat/pet in.

'What do you have there girl?'

Mia had a paper in her mouth, Tical took it.

"Join today! The army needs YOU to defend your country! Sign up at the nearest Army Base!'

'It seems fate is guiding me to one point, Mia...'

Tical walked out the door, his bat hung under Tical's backpack.
